Why is the ICB Important for our Children?
· The ICB is the first version of the Bible translated specifically for children. It is not an adult Bible with illustrations added.
· Comprehension of the ICB requires only a third-grade reading level.
· The best available Greek and Hebrew texts were used to assure a faithful translation of the original languages.
· More than 21 Bible scholars and translators were involved in
creating the ICB. (Many of these same experts assisted with the New International Version and the New King James Version)
· The ICB is a Dynamic Equivalent (thought-for-thought) translation of the Bible.
