Scriptures: Yes, that’s right…the
pages of this book are actual Bible verses. On some
pages you’ll see the characters speaking by the
use of a dialogue box. The action and setting of the
scene is readily apparent by the backgrounds. What
a great way to read and learn your Bible. Some of the
verses are not a person speaking so they will be in
plain boxes. You might see some small “d’s” in
the text. These indicate a word that will have a definition
in the dictionary found at the back of full ICB Bibles.
You may also see a small “n”. This represents
a footnote to be found at the bottom of the page. (see
below)
Old
Testament quotations are shown in a separate
treatment. They are in a parchment- like background
to represent that they are older words, almost like
a treasured antique. They will usually have the book,
chapter and verse with them so you can know where they
came from in the Old Testament.
Footnotes appear
at the bottom of some pages. They are represented in
the Bible verses by a small “n”. This will
let you know there is a note at the base of the page.
It gives you a little more information about the particular
word or phrase that is helpful to know!
